Had such a good time here! The rooftop restaurant offered really tasty food, and I loved the relaxing massage service after a long day of exploring. Just a heads-up, drinks at the bar can be a bit pricey, so budget for that! 😊

The waterfront view from our deluxe room provided a picturesque backdrop for our two-night stay. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful, featuring freshly cooked egg dishes that complemented the substantial buffet. The staff's attentiveness, especially during an unexpected medical issue, was remarkable and went above and beyond. However, the room was slightly smaller than anticipated, and while we enjoyed the restaurant, it was occasionally crowded.

great location but dated decor
The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the old town. The breakfast on the top floor offers a wonderful view of the marina which adds to the relaxing atmosphere.
The decor feels quite dated, which might not appeal to everyone.

The Grand Hotel Ortigia offers charming historic character with spacious accommodations. My room was a loft conversion, featuring a delightful layout with a comfortable living area downstairs and the bed and bathroom upstairs. The location is perfect, just steps from the promenade and key attractions, making it convenient for business engagements. The breakfast was particularly impressive, featuring high-quality options and excellent service.
The steep staircase may not be suitable for individuals with mobility challenges.

missingWrote a review on May 30cramped room
The standard room felt slightly cramped, making it hard to move around comfortably. Some bathrooms showed signs of wear, like chips in the tub and sliding doors instead of regular ones, which felt awkward. The rooftop bar prices for cocktails were staggering, possibly breaking the bank compared to your usual local spots. And while the views could be stunning, large curtains and obtrusive signage ruined the sea view experience from certain rooms.
